Why release things now?

I’ve been playing music all my life, but I took a long break some years ago. Last year I found the inspiration again and started to write music. This time just for myself, … and also to “zone out” from life and work …. my kind of “yoga” 🙂

I never really planned to release any songs and there’s just a few people that have heard some of the songs, this since I don’t consider myself as an “artist” or anything worth listing to unless you’re really like this kind of music.

All of that changed with a couple of things happening close in time:

First of when one of my heroes Chris Cornell (Soundgarden, Audioslave) tradically died a few weeks ago. When it happened I was also in transition for a new job, leaving Microsoft (camera & imaging, which I love and worked with for many years) to another company GN Audio/Jabra), that I really admire, that’s into audio, another true love of mine.

So I sat down and wrote a song about Seattle, the city I love. Many of the things I grew up with and loved came from Seattle (but didn’t know it back then), such as; the whole “grunge rock” scene (Nirvana, Soundgarden, Pearl Jam, Alice In Chains etc.), PC computers, Twin Peaks (also “re-released” now) and more. So I thought, if there’s a time to release anything it’s now.

This might be an epic fail, but then it’s a true honest one 🙂

I took some of the pictures I’ve captured over the years around the Seattle area and made a “music video/collage” and of cause I had to make it in Microsoft Movie Maker 🙂

Hope you enjoy it!
